That’s how La Cava was born—an exclusive space within the restaurant, designed for unique experiences: from special dinners and private events to live performances that connect with our Ecuadorian roots.
The opening of this new space was a celebration in itself, officially marking the beginning of a new stage in our journey to share Ecuador through its cuisine in even more meaningful ways.
A Night to Remember: The Opening of La Cava
The opening night was a vibrant gathering of friends, partners, and lovers of Ecuadorian culture. Chef Alejandra Espinoza, host of the event, introduced La Cava as a space that tells stories through flavors, textures, music, and art.
Among the special guests were representatives from the Peruvian Embassy in Ecuador, Ecuadorian artists such as Apitatan and Daniel Reinoso, as well as well-known influencers, strategic partners, and suppliers who are part of our community, including Gin Crespo, Visa, and Bodega Dos Hemisferios.
MEET THE CHEF – A NEW GASTRONOMIC JOURNEY
The following day, La Cava welcomed its first guests for a new culinary experience: Meet the Chef, an exclusive event hosted by Chef Alejandra, who presented SOMOS’s new tasting menu, La Ruta de los Volcanes. This journey through Ecuador’s highlands pays tribute to Andean flavors, ingredients, and landscapes. Each dish, rich in symbolism and history, was introduced personally by the chef. The evening was brought to life with live performances—traditional music, folkloric dances, and artistic expressions that immersed guests in the cultural richness of the Ecuadorian Highlands.
